Let’s see
what you’re building.
Starting February 1, 2027. A minimum of three months living and building in Berlin.
Start with
your work.
From February 1, 2027, spend at least three months living and building in Berlin alongside around 50 ambitious founders, builders and researchers. Shared living, coworking and everyday infrastructure, with hackathons, events and connections to founders, mentors and investors. Bring your project. Find collaborators. Stay close to the work.
The first application takes around 10–15 minutes. No CV, cover letter or pitch deck: just your work, your ambition and what you would contribute. We’ll ask for further information after the first review.
Opening the application takes you to Tally. Application data is entered and submitted there. No application data is collected by this page.

A few things
worth knowing.
Who is the residency for?
Founders, technical builders and researchers working on difficult problems. We look for evidence of initiative, real progress and the ambition to take your work much further — alongside people with the same drive.
Do I need a company or funding already?
No. A company is one way to show your work. A prototype, repository, research paper or independent project can tell us just as much. Show us what you have made and what you want to tackle next.
When does it start, and how long do I stay?
The residency starts on February 1, 2027. You need to be in Berlin in person for at least three months. Share any timing constraints in your application so we can discuss them.
What can I expect on campus?
Living and working alongside around 50 ambitious founders, builders and researchers, with shared living, coworking and everyday infrastructure. Hackathons, events and connections to mentors and investors are part of the plan. Specific room options, facilities and inclusions will be confirmed before you commit.
How much does it cost?
We will share room options, prices and what is included during the application process, before you make a commitment. Submitting an application does not reserve a room or commit you to a payment.
How long does the application take?
Around 10–15 minutes. Have a link to your work ready and tell us what you want to build next. You do not need to prepare a CV, cover letter or pitch deck for this first step.
What happens after I apply?
You will see a confirmation after submitting the form. The team reviews applications and follows up by email with questions or next steps. If there is a fit, we will discuss your work, the community and the practical details before any commitment.
Can I apply from outside Germany?
Yes. The community works in English. You will need to be able to live in Berlin for the residency; immigration and relocation arrangements are discussed individually. An application does not include visa sponsorship.
What if I need specialist equipment?
Tell us exactly what your project needs. Specialist lab or workshop access is something to discuss with the team; it should not be assumed to be included.
I want to join the team instead. Where do I apply?
Explore the founding team roles and use the separate team application. This residency application is for people who want to live on campus and work on their own projects.
